Jack Phillips

Jack Phillips is a noted advisor and writer on the impact that business analytics and big data have on enterprises. Mr. Phillips founded the International Institute for Analytics (IIA) with Tom Davenport, and currently serves as its CEO. Mr. Phillips edited the 2012 book Enterprise Analytics: Optimize Performance, Process and Decisions Through Big Data. In his work at IIA, the leading independent analytics research firm, Mr. Phillips focuses on how the adoption of data and analytics by certain firms leads to competitive differentiation and higher performance. Mr. Phillips speaks frequently on cultural changes, organizational models, talent acquisition and the requirements of new leaders in a data-driven world. Mr. Phillips is a graduate of the Harvard Business School and Williams College, and lives with his wife and three children in Portland, Oregon.

As Chief Executive Officer of Darktrace, Nicole Eagan has positioned the company as an international leader in cyber defense. Nicole was named ‘Woman of the Year’ at the 2016 Cyber Security Awards for successfully introducing disruptive machine learning technology to the global market. Her extensive career as a technology executive includes over 25 years of commercial and marketing experience. An expert in developing and executing strategies for high-growth businesses, Nicole helped Darktrace secure $65 million in Series C funding from KKR and led the company to 600% year-on-year growth. Under her leadership, Darktrace’s innovative approach to cyber security has won over 20 awards, including World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer. The company is headquartered in San Francisco, CA and Cambridge, England and now has more than 360 employees working across 23 countries.

A large portion of Mr. Bennett’s professional experience has been shaped by leading teams that are focused on the integration of software and hardware, often described as IT/OT convergence. From a grid perspective, a great deal of that time has been spent on large-scale Smart Grid projects. Essentially, connecting field devices with SCADA and DMS software. More recently, much of his time has been devoted to driving growth through the combination of Process Automation and Electrification for customers in multiple energy-intensive segments. Today, Mr. Bennett’s primary focus is on broadening the foundation of Schneider Electric’s, EcoStruxure platform. EcoStruxure is an IoT-enabled open and interoperable system architecture designed to deliver enhanced value around safety, reliability, efficiency, sustainability and connectivity for customers. In Andy’s previous role of SVP of Strategic Accounts and Solutions, he had responsibility for driving growth in focused accounts for Schneider Electric’s major segments including O&G, Utilities, Data Centers, Health Care, WWW, Food & Beverage, Automotive, as well as North American MicroGrid activity. Those accounts represent approximately 1.5Billion in annual turnover. Additionally, Andy held the responsibility for the North American Solution and Execution Centers where SE’s complex engineering is executed. Prior to that role, Andy had responsibility for the US Energy Business that was focused on medium voltage offers. Before taking on these roles for Schneider Electric, Andy oversaw the management of Telvent Miner & Miner, as well as the Telvent Electric Utility Group, which includes the SCADA, RTU, and Smart Grid initiatives. In 2011, Telvent was acquired by Schneider Electric. Andy holds a BS in Hydrogeology from Lehigh University as well as a MS in Chemistry from Stonybrook.
Craig Speizle
Executive Director & President, Online Trust Alliance
Craig is a recognized authority on trust and the convergence of privacy and security promoting responsible privacy, end-to-end security and data stewardship. Since founding the OTA in 2005, Craig championed security best practices to help protect consumers, innovation and the role of meaningful self-regulation. Craig frequently briefs international policy makers driving awareness of best practices by both the public and private sectors and importance of internet governance. Under Craig's leadership OTA formed the IoT Trustworthy Working Group an international coalition of chartered with the formation of a security, privacy and sustainability framework. Prior to OTA, Craig spent over a decade at Microsoft focused on security and privacy enhancing technologies and standards. Spiezle holds a Bachelor’s of Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and a MBA from Seattle University. Craig is on the board of the Identity Theft Council past member of the FCC CSRIC and a member of InfraGard, the IAPP and APWG.
John O’Brien

John O'Brien, Principal Advisor and CEO, Radiant Advisors. With over 25 years of experience delivering value through data warehousing and BI programs, John O’Brien's unique perspective comes from the combination of his roles as a practitioner, consultant, and vendor CTO in the BI industry. As a recognized thought leader in BI, data management and analytics, John has been publishing articles and presenting at conferences in North America and Europe for the past 15 years.

Bill Brown is a proven Leader with experience in Software/Product Development & a strong history of innovation. He spent most of my career in the IoT space, including both the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Converged IoT formally known as Converged Services or the 3 screen strategy, and Consumer IoT such as wearables AppleWatch, Connected Car, Smart Home, etc... He designed and developed OTT (Over The Top) Video Distribution and Management Systems, IPTV and iTV application, various Ad Management Systems and now WebRTC. Perhaps his greatest contribution to AT&T is the U-verse Enabled platform. An API which enables developers to build second screen applications for the U-verse platform.
Kristina Bergman

Kristina is the founder and CEO of Integris Software Inc., a software company that helps companies automate compliance with privacy laws, like GDPR, and audits using policy-based controls on their data. Integris is still in stealth mode. Previously, Kristina was a principal at Ignition Partners focused on Cloud and Big Data startups. She sourced, evaluated and advised current and potential portfolio companies, as well as investigated technical and business matters, including market analysis and technology development issues for prospective and existing business contacts, and lastly, provided counsel regarding technology trends and developments. Prior to that, Kristina was SharePoint Group Product Manager at Microsoft responsible for all SharePoint outbound marketing globally, which included developing sales materials, marketing campaigns, field incentives, social media marketing, web content, strategic alliance partner strategies for SIs, ISVs, resellers, and online services, as well as running global events such as SharePoint Conference. Kristina was at Microsoft for 6 years working on Business Intelligence and SharePoint Product Management. Prior to that she was at Business Objects SA (now part of SAP) where she was responsible for product line marketing for strategic alliances such as SAP, Oracle, and IBM. Kristina graduated on the Dean's List from the University of Victoria (Canada) business school (B.Comm) and has her Master’s in Finance (M.Sc.) from Boston University.

In addition to his work surrounding self-driving vehicles, Elliot also works on issues related to other Internet-connected devices and systems, such as issues surrounding the use of mobile location analytics and other sensors within smart cities. Mark Weatherford
Senior Vice President and Chief Cybersecurity Strategist, Varmour
Mark Weatherford is Senior Vice President and Chief Cybersecurity Strategist at vArmour. He has more than 20 years of security operations leadership and executive-level policy experience in some of the largest and most critical public and private sector organizations in the world. Prior to joining vArmour, he was a Principal at The Cherto Group where he worked with businesses and organizations around the world create strategic security programs and he remains a Senior Advisor in the firm. In 2011, Mr. Weatherford was appointed by President Obama as the Department of Homeland Security’s first Deputy Under Secretary for Cybersecurity and before DHS, he was the Vice President and Chief Security Oicer at the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) where he directed the cybersecurity and critical infrastructure protection program and worked with electric utility companies across North America.
Suyash Sinha

Suyash is the CEO and Co-Founder of Midfin Systems. He has over 15 years of experience in distributed cloud-scale infrastructure, operating systems, and virtualization (hypervisor). Suyash previously worked at Microsoft for 13+ years where he led the development of several mission-critical technologies like Hyper-V hypervisor, kernel, core networking and several core cloud technologies. He has dozens of patents and publications and often speaks at technology conferences and trade shows. Before Microsoft, Suyash worked in couple of high-speed switching startups developing software protocol stacks for transit switches and routers. Chirag Desai has over Twenty years of combined industry and consulting experience. Over the course of his career, Mr. Desai has assisted companies and clients in the execution of strategies and operating models within the Pharmaceutical Industry, primarily around Digital Health & Enterprise Technology, Product Development, Compliance and Sales and Marketing. His background goes across the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Diagnostics, and Healthcare verticals. Mark Shaw is Director of Hardware Engineering for Microsoft's Cloud+Enterprise Division, responsible for the architecture and hardware designs of Compute & Storage platforms utilized in Azure's cloud scale services.  Mark is leading the Project Olympus open source hardware development effort with the Open Compute Project bringing leading edge technology to the community.  Microsoft’s Open Compute Project servers have been deployed at massive scale across a global fleet of data centers.  Mark's team is responsible for delivering leading-edge technology as the SmartNIC FPGA accelerator.  Mark hold over 30 patents in computing systems and hardware.  Prior to Microsoft, Mark cut his teeth designing systems, platform controllers, CPUs and coherent interconnects at Hewlett-Packard, Gould and Convex Supercomputers.

Jake represents companies subject to inquiries, investigations, and actions brought by regulatory agencies, such as state attorneys general and the Federal Trade Commission. He also advises businesses about advertising, marketing, regulatory compliance, privacy, and cybersecurity. Jake has significant experience with laws regulating the collection, storage, and use of private consumer data. Before joining Newman Du Wors, Jake served eight years as an Assistant Attorney General in the Consumer Protection Division of the Washington State Attorney General’s Office. There, he prosecuted unfair and deceptive business practices including online advertising, negative-option marketing, spam under state law and the federal CAN-SPAM Act, spyware, and consumer-privacy violations. With a background and degree in science, Jake also pursued companies making deceptive health claims. Jake now provides our clients with a practical approach to maximizing effective marketing while mitigating the risk that government regulatory agencies or private plaintiffs will initiate legal action. Jake graduated first in his law-school class, and served as a law clerk for Chief Justice Barbara Madsen in the Washington State Supreme Court. Agarwal serves as the Dean and CEO of Northeastern University—Silicon Valley, which is the west coast expansion of Boston based Northeastern University, renowned for its experiential learning and coops. He is also the Chairman of Future 500, a Bay Area based pioneer in the area of global sustainability. Until recently, he was the CEO of TiE Global, dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship across 61 cities in 18 countries. Prior to TiE, P.K served as Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Chief Technology Officer for the State of California. He has also been in executive and management roles with ACS (now Xerox), NIC Inc., and EDS (now HP). He helped pioneer the use of Internet in government and shaped the national and state policy in this area, dating back to Al Gore’s National Information Infrastructure Advisory Council in 1995. He had the unique distinction of having a U.S. national annual award named as the “P.K. Agarwal Award for Leadership in Electronic Government”. He also served as the president of National Association of State CIO’s and the National Electronic Commerce Coordinating Council (ec3). Kilton Hopkins
IoT Program Director for Level program, Northeastern University
Kilton started programming computers when he was 8 years old. That was 1986. He started a software company a few years later. The world is very different than it was back then, but Kilton is still bringing new tech companies to life. He currently serves as IoT Program Director for Level program at Northeastern University. He also serves as the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of IOTRACKS, which provides the world with open technologies for building a better Internet of Things. He is the creator of the Eclipse ioFog open-source fog computing technology. Kilton lives in Berkeley, California. He received his MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2010. He likes to meditate, make music, and read about everything scientific.
